Sometimes on web pages I want to send someone an email and this window comes up online. Is it safe to then give them my name, email address and password, so Outlook can configure and I am able to send emails?

Not sure what you mean? Wouldn't give them my email password.
The reason you get the Outlook 2007 window is that you probably have it installed on your PC, and it may be set as the default email program so the web page starts it, but it has not been configured or set up on your PC.

You DONT need to configure Office 2007 to end them an email.

When this window comes up it will probably have their email address in one of the fields.

Just copy and paste the email address (or write it down).

Then go into your normal email program and create an email and paste the email address in it (or type in the email address you have written down).

Then send an email from your normal email program.

As he said, I didn't read the title. Duh!

VHG quite often there isn't another email address, but I know what you mean. Can I cancel this Outlook thingy ? I want to uninstall it but it isn't separate in my Uninstall Properties. Sorry if I can't explain very well ..
Outlook 2007 is part of Microsoft Office.

If you are not using it then start the uninstall process for Office then you can select the components you want to uninstall.

Outlook 2007 will be one of them.

Note if Outlook 2007 is uninstalled then it will be replaced by another default email program so the problem wont go away.

p.s. A web site can only start an email program that is installed on your PC, it cant start a web based email progeam like hotmail or googlemail.
