Have just turned on PC and find to my horror that my complete library in itunes is empty, all my collection has disappeared. Does anybody have any idea where has it all gone?

Have you searched for files with the artist/album/track file names?

Thanks for that advice. It seems to be doing something but as there was a lot of tracks it is taking a bit of time. Hopefully it is restoring everything.

Thanks snags. Everything is back again. What happened though and is it likely to happen again.

I've had a similar experience. Although my library shows the tunes, I cannot play them.
However, If I type the name of one of the tunes in the search box it opens up ITunes and plays the relevant song.
Any suggestions/help please?
