Conduit Engine is used by some of those annoying toolbars that get installed if you are careless when installing certan free applications. Some say it's evil, other not.
Whichever, you are unlikely to suffer any inconvenience due to having uninstalled it (some people are desperate to do just that, and can't).

I'd love to know how it's possible to uninstall something "accidentally" though :-)
It's a Browser Hijacker and, if I had it, I would remove it from my computer.

Like rojash, I am intrigued to know how you uninstalled it, accidentally.

This is how it happened:
I was downloading a desktop wallpaper and a toolbar also downloaded...hate them..so went to Control Panel to see if I could uninstall and made an error by uninstalling Conduit..clicking wrong place.
Well.it seems I need not worry about it anyway.
kloofnek.....You didn't make an error....You did the right thing. I only hope you have fully removed Conduit because some items which accompany free downloads are not always easy to completely extinguish.

If your Toolbars are as they were originally, then I wouldn't worry any further.
