Dell Webcam

I've got a Dell laptop and the webcam keeps opening without me prompting it (Dell Webcam Central)
Is there something in the settings I can alter so it only starts up when I need it?

try uninsatlling then re-installing the cam

Won't uninstalling delete it from the program list and make it unrecoverable?

it will go from the program list but re-installing it should bring it back, like any other program.

In my experience of Dells there is usually a recovery partition that has all the extras and drivers etc that your laptop came installed with, or maybe they gave you discs.
