For some reason I lost my shortcut to Firefox and didn`t know how to get it back to I decided to uninstall it and install it again. It`s installed OK but when I type some words, (usually abbreviations) I get a red curled line underneath. It must be some sort of spell checker. I don`t want it but don`t know how to get rid of it. I wonder if it`s downloaded as an add-on. Does anyone know how I disable it please?

Thanks for your answers. That did the trick Rojash.
Although if you stopped using the grave accent as an apostrophe you'd have got a lot less words underlined.

Thank you Chuck. Most helpful. If you`d been up since 3pm yesterday, your punctuation might not be too accurate either. Not that it made any difference when I had Firefox before...
I'm not commenting on the accuracy of your punctuation, assuming you mean to use an apostrophe your accuracy is spot on... but you are using the wrong character...

the apostrophe is on the same key as the @ sign... a little to the left of the enter key.

You're using the grave accent instead (top left of the keyboard) which isn't the correct one to use.

It's like me using a z instead of a s in every word and claiming it's due to tiredness.
