Silly question, but I've just received a photo sent as attachment to an e-mail. It's sideways. I'm sure there's a way of turning it upright, but I've forgotten how. This computer is Windows 7 but my other one is Windows 8, so I need this for both.

I have windows XP but it might work
in win 7 or 8.
Save the attachment to somewhere
like your documents file.
Then open it in windows media player.
You should be able to rotate it in there.
I hope it works for you it does for me.

Save the attachment to your computer. Then find where you saved it, and double-click to open it. It should open in Windows Photo Viewer. You will be able to rotate it there.
You can use windows photo viewer.
Or you can do it online for free just upload photo and edit as per your choice. Here are the sites: http://anymaking.com/flip-picture-editor
http://www.lunapic.com/editor/?action=rotate
there's no need to edit a picture just to rotate it for viewing
