Photo Icons Being Thumbnails..?

On my laptop - (Asus x54c, win 7)

I can often see images - photos etc as thumbnails ofthe image, but for some reason yesterday, all my pictures are now an icon - and orange flower, or a sort of landscape.

how can i see my pics as thumbnails in the folders, so i dont have to open every single on to see what it is?

You need to open your pictures, select organise, folders and search options, view, then unselect the "always show icons never thumbnails" option.
That's how I changed mine.

Lastly select apply, forgot that bit.

Thanks D9 but where is the view tab? mine only shows a view tab that gives icons.

when i selected the two largest image views they showed previews - but they dont now

It should be next to general in the folder options after you have selected folders and search options.
