Does anyone know how to find a forgotten password to connect my Kindle to my WiFi metwork?

Don't you have your password tab on your wi-fi hub? Most new hubs have a removable tab with both the wi-fi key and admin password on it.

If you go into your router settings you should be able to find it there. So you'll need to know how to access the settings but we can't tell you that without knowing the make of your router. So what is it, please?

Thanks Buenchico, it is a Netgear router VMDG280. Wireless N Cable Gateway, does this help identify it?

Try typing 192.168.01 into your browser's address bar (and hitting 'Enter'). A web search suggest that's the required address. (If it doesn't work, try 192.168.1.1).

If you get in you'll be met with a screen requiring a username and password. (That's NOT the password which you're seeking!). Unless it's been reset by you (or by whoever supplied the router) the username is 'admin' and the password is 'password'.

If you can get past there you should find an option to set or change the network password. Go to that page and you should see the current password. (If it's asterisked out there should be a tick box enabling you to remove the asterisks).

Once you've done that, remember to log out.

If you have a working XP or Windows 7 computer that successfully connects to your wi-fi you should be able to view the wi-fi password currently configured on that device.

If you left click on your network symbol (at bottom right of screen) then right click on your hub that you are connected to and select properties you will find your network key in there.
