I need to replace my current phones, which are sometimes erratic, and I don't want an answerphone. Can anyone recommend something from their own experience?
Thanks

About a couple of months ago I replaced mine with a set called BT Aura. Mine does have answerphone (easily switched off) but you can get them without.
Voice clarity is good and signal strength good. Bearing mind the signal has to go through 3 walls and down to the bottom of my garden (say 25mtrs of garden) I can make and receive calls with ease from my summerhouse.
The better ones usually have an answerphone built in, which is easily disabled.

From extensive research and experience, I'd go for the BT Inspire 1500, available in single, twin, triple or quad.
We bought a triple set a couple of years ago, BT Graphite (not sure if you can still get it) - one phone on each floor. Very pleased with it. It does have a built in answerphone (but you don't have to use it).
I have found that even though the answerphone is switched off, after endless rings it does switch on automatically, may have been just mine when I had that one?
