Can't Delete A Folder
I had a folder full of photos which I deleted.I now have a file with 4 folders within, all of which are empty (0 Bytes) but I can't delete it/them.
Every time I try it says that the file name is too long and the directory is not empty.
I've renamed them to short file names but still no joy.
When I click on the folder and select "properties" there are lots of what I presume are the photos type _do-9d~1 etc etc
Thank you in advance for any help

Then try this (I use it myslef - it's perfectly safe) http:// www. emptyloop. com/ unlocker/ Install it, and it will add an extra option to the right-click menu. After it's installed, point at the folder and right-click. Chose unlock. It will probably reply that nothing is locking the file and ask you to choose what to do. Choose Delete It will probably reply...

You need to run a checkdisk.
Open computer or my computer (like so many, you've not told us which operating system).
Right-click the C: drive
Choose properties
Go to the tools tab
Click Check
You will probably get a message saying that it can't be checked now, and asking if you would like to schedule a scan. Say yes
Restart the machine, and the scan will run.
