This is really infuriating! Using the Android website I downloaded a free analogue clock widget to my Sony Erikkson Xperia phone (never liked the digital display), and the phone acknowledged the completed download. However, I can't actually find the widget to get it running! Can anyone help?

Open up the middle icon on the bottom row of your home screen (sorry I don't know what it's called). This will open up "applications". Scroll through the pages and it should be the last icon on the last page (assuming it's the last thing you downloaded).
If you still can't find it, click the icon on the top right hand corner - this allows you to arrange the icons by either: own order; alphabetical; most used or recently installed.
Hope this helps :)

No, unfortunately that doesn't work. It still doesn't show. I've had this problem before with widgets. Standard apps show up immediately, but widgets seem to disappear into some dark corner of the phone. Thankfully the clock widget was free so no harm done. A bit annoying though!
Have you tried the following:
Tap an empty space on your home screen.
A plus sign will appear in the top right hand corner.
Click on that and it'll give give you access to some apps that you can scroll through and add to your homescreen. The 1st folder (called shortcuts) contains more icons, so it might be in there.
Maybe this time ;)
