My Daughters Hips.
4 Answers
Greetings.
On and off over the last two years my daughter has complained of 'popping' hips, its really quite a strange thing, if you walk next to her and put your hand on her hip you can actually feel them 'pop'. About a year ago they started to become painful so I tried her on the usual 0TC pain killers and they do nothing. Around six months ago I took her to the doctors and he sent her for xrays which came back 'normal'.
Today she has had to come home from school as she is in so much pain. She's 15, otherwise physically fit and there's not an ounce of fat on her[her diet is pretty good].
Anyone know what it could be and/ or can suggest anything else we can do would be really appreciated?

mmmm! I would agree with mamya........except.......your daughter is complaining of pain in her hips which is not typical of snapping hip syndrome and introduces other possibilities.
One that comes to mind is Perthes disease....Google it.....although she is a little old for that (15yrs)
Despite normal x-rays i would return to your GP and request an orthopaedic referral.
