You'll need something like this for the video capture: http://www.amazon.co.uk/EasyCAP-Video-Capture-Device-Audio/dp/B001G1NKXQ

Then some video editing software to manipulate it.
Doh. Didn't notice you already had East-cap. Sorry. Can't help you further.
If you've got the EasyCap hardware you should have Ulead Video Studio which came with it.

Thanks for your replies I've tried opening Ulead video studio but it won't do so because the resolution is too small how do I change this to 1240x768 and should I? won't this affect other situations??
Sorry, I'm lost. All I can offer is the manual for your capture device. (The Ulead instructions start on page 12):

Oh, hang on. If it's the screen resolution on your monitor you need to change, rght-click on your desktop, select Properties and then Settings. Move the slider, click Apply and then OK. (Don't worry when your screen goes blank for a few moments; it's meant to happen!) You can easily reverse the operation by the same procedure.

Hi there BC sorry for the delay I've been messing around with the resolution settings.I've arrived at one that allows me to open up Ulead video studio BUT my desktop now has a wide black margin all the way round and the icons are either too large or too small plus the font size according to the settings.Any ideas please???
Suggestions:
1. Simply put up with the inconvenience while recording videos, them play them back (in your normal resolution) with a decent free media player such as VLC (which is favoured by the technical press) or GOM (which is my own favourite):

2. Try some alternative capture software, such as VirtualDub:

Hi BC I decided to go with your first option,or so I hoped.Everything opened up,all connections seemed ok,but the prog. said that it wasn't receiving a signal from the device.I uninstalled and installed with no success.I don't know which way to turn now!!!!
