Ads On Internet Explorer

I use IE for certain things but I'm sick of the ads on there.
I've tried their Opt Out but that doesn't work.
It says the ads will be of interest to me as I have searched for similar in my browser, not true.
Please do you know how I can stop the Dating ads and Catalogue ads etc from popping up?
