The mouse on my laptop (yes I have a mouse on it, it`s easier)has a life of it`s own. It highlights whatever window the cursor moves over. That is to say even if I don`t click to select it. Can someone tel me how to change this please so it only select what I click on. Hope I`ve explained it correctly.

I think you can change it in "mouse Settings" in Control panel.
Check that 'ClickLock' is deactivated:

'Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Mouse' (In Windows 7 'Mouse' will be in the section headed 'Devices and Printers')

Now you should see the option 'Turn on ClickLock'. If the box is ticked then Untick the box and select 'Apply', then OK to exit.
Its something to do with the Synaptics Pointing Device. I had to get in touch with the maker of my laptop and they sent me an email telling me what to do.
If you're talking about Ads on here it's nothing to do with your mouse but the way they're set up. I have moaned to Ed about it - the Blackberry ad has opened for me about 10 times this weekend alone.

No Prudie, it`s not about Ad ons even though they are annoying. Thank you Ratt, Pink and Smurf. I`ll follow those advices(!)
