Blank Scren On My Mobile
5 Answers
I have an old Samsung mobile phone and the screen is dead. It has been working on and off for a while but seemed to working fine as long as I left it open, but I dropped it at the football on Saturday and now I can't see a thing.
Can this be fixed? I know the phone still works as I can make and receive calls, but there is a lot of information on the phone that I need/want to retrieve.
Any help greatly apprecied.

(I've recently bought a phone with internet access via both 3G and wifi, plus a decent camera and loads of other extras, for £45. You might well have to pay considerably more than that to repair your old phone).
If you buy a phone which will accept your old sim card, all of your contact details and stored texts should still be present on your new phone. If you've got photos on your old phone (and it's got a mini-SD card in it), the photos will be on the memory card and not in the phone's internal memory.

Depends on the model type but you get screen replacements via ebay etc and there are invariably step by step instructions on how to change a screen. The Last one I changed about 18 months ago cost me approx £18.
If you need to copy / backup the phone info, does the phone connect to a PC via USB cable? If so you can use that link to copy the data to PC.
