The Football Association has accepted the resignation of anti-racism campaigner Paul Elliott from all his positions within the organisation after he made "discriminatory abusive comments".

A stupid thing to do, use the Ni99er word in a text. Strippng someone of an honour is extremely rare and almost never happens. One would assume the honour was based on work he had done up to the point of being nominated and that he actually got it on merit. The fact that he has disgraced himself since is unfortunate but should not affect his gong....
