Hi, does anyone know whether two people can use two seperate ipod's on the same computer. Can you have two lots of itunes or will the computer replace the first one when you put the second one on? As my partner and i have different tastes in music we dont want to share the same itunes, and therefore the same songs!

IPODs can be set to sync to playlist.

I think itunes detects the particular ipod as it has a specific label. (Drive name)

I cannot confirm this, but I would expect itunes to detect 2 seperate players. In the settings for each ipod, set them up to sync with their individual playlist.

This site agrees and gives instructions:

you will simply have to have two user accounts on the computer. that way each one has their own iTunes list of songs, so you can both have different songs.
