Camcorder To Dvd Recorder

Hi,
i have a LG dv3 dvd recorder. i have plugged the camcorder into it, but a message on the TV screen says " no cam corder connected". The handbook is very vague, and of no help. I can see the camcorder picture through the veiwer, so i know its running o.k. I have tried two different sets of leads. Only thing that seems strange, is that the handbook talks about digital camcorders, and DV corders, mine is the old video8 type. could the input setting be different?

Hi All,
its o.k. now thanks, it needed to be AV3, even though AV1 said no camcorder present.

Thats because the av ports are separate entities.
