I bought my daughter a tv with freeview installed when we went digital last year. I also got her a high gain aerial with booster. Everything was fine till last week when she suddenly lost all her channels that weren't BBC channels. Tried retuning and shifting the aerial to different places, but now she can't even get a decent signal on BBC - it keeps freezing. This coincided with a neighbour across the back getting a very large tree cut down. She has read that if you are served by 2 different transmitters the signals can interfere with one another and we are in an area covered by 2. Could it be that the tree was blocking one signal but now we are in the pathway of both they are causing problems? (or is she telling me a lot of rubbish?) And if so, is there any way to resolve it?

Yes this is true, what to do is a retune with the aerial out then half way through the tune put the aerial back in to finish off, that way you will only pick up one transmitter, you can try that first because if it's freezing its a signal fault, also check the connectors, however it's hard to believe the tree is to blame.

Ok, will try that thanks. It just coincided with the tree (which was huge) being cut down - I wondered if there could be some connection if it had maybe blocked one of the signals.
