Where the detective programmes were on the telly .There were visual clues to help the viewers to try and work out whodunit .Not that I watch many but the camers do not now close in on what the investigater is looking at . .Like so many programmes in the past where there was a close up of a bin with with the weapon in it How often have we not grabbed an elderly member of the family by the arm and said told you so .Now the investigator could say he worked it out by such and such he /she could be lying .We needs more close ups and clues after all we pay our licence fee .

I used to think watching these sort of show was that you could try to decide through clues who the culprit was .Wheres the entertainment in watching some smart Alec solving the crime

The clues are still there, you just need to be a little more clued up to spot them
I don't watch many, but some seem to wrap up far too quickly based on a bit of information which only the detective seems to grasp.
the clues are very subtle, but still there.
