Convert A Htlm Photo To Jpeg Image

Have been sent a photo taken in 1959 from a Flicker collection which is a large group of people including my Mum and Sister but as I cannot seem to enlarge it as a HTLM picture I would like to convert it to a JPEG image where I think I may be able to increase its size so as I can recognise faces as my eyesight is not good. Thank for any help it would be lovely to be able to see those 2 wonderful faces again at that time in our lives. Mum is deceased and my sister lives in Oz and has done so since 1969.

Depending on the resolution (roughly speaking, the quality) of the picture enlarging it may not be enough to recognise the faces -- you'd just get a blurry image.

There is, technically, no such thing as an HTML image, it's either gif, jpeg or PNG (or occasionally others). So presumably you mean the image as you see it on the link sent to you. Right-click on the image, select "Save Picture as" and save it on to your computer as a jpeg or (gif or PNG, etc.) image, and then you shoudl be able to open the image on your computer somewhere e.g. paint, or Picture and Fax viewer.

When you've opened it there you should be able to zoom in relatively easily. If the image is too blurry even when zoomed in, you might want to consider finding someone who knows more about computers than I do who may be able to do some sort of image-enhancing job or other.

I'm not 100% sure but if you right click on the image you should get an option to "Save As...." You should save as an image, taking note of where you are saving it to (I normally save to the desktop).
You should then have a Jpeg image which you can manipulate. Bearing in mind that the more you enlarge it the lower the resolution will be.

what chrisgel said, BUT what jim said too. If the resolution isn't there in the first place then elarging it won't help.

As you all said, did save it as a JPEG OK but on trying to enlarge it lost its resolution.

Have you tried cropping the part of the picture you want to view? Then try to enlarge the cropped portion. Might work.

it may never have had much resolution; stuff put on the internet is often quite low-res. Could you try to find out where the original came from and see if you can get a larger copy?
