I have just purchased a new computer and set Google as my home page on Internet Explorer. The problem is the 'TIPS & SUGGESTIONS' are in a language which I think is Ukranian (I have obviously clicked a wrong button by accident). The main pages and headlines are in English but the click boxes etc are in this other language. I cannot change this via the 'LANGUAGE TOOLS' because everything is in this foreign language and I have tried guessing which is the button for ENGLISH without success. This only happens in google.co.uk, google.com is fine but even on this if I click UK SEARCH the same thing happens. I prefer to use the UK search. Any assistance will be welcome please.

You didn't say whether you had set Google.com or Google.co.uk as your homepage, but I would advise you set the .co.uk address assuming you live in the British Isles? As for changing the language, it may sound silly but rather than using "LANGUAGE TOOLS", click on the "PREFERENCES" option (just above it I think?) and just make sure "English" is the only box ticked in the "SEARCH LANGUAGES" section. Then go to "LANGUAGE TOOLS" and now select English there. That should sort the problem out for you. Incidentally by choosing the Google uk page as your homepage, you're not excluding IP addresses from anywhere outside the UK. You can simply put the green blob in the "Search The Web" box if you want to search the whole web (i.e. USA etc). But put the green blob in the "Search Pages From The UK" box if you just want to narrow your search to UK sites. That said, some of the American .com sites end up squeezing through if they're a sponsored site. Hope all this helps.
