Cctv System So Can View And Are Alerted On A Mobile Phone
27 Answers
Can you buy the full system or is it cheaper to get all the bits separate? What kinds of prices are we taking for 2 or 3 infra red cameras, a hard drive to record and leads, software separate as compared to an all in one package?

This unit from Maplin will do what you want, but my understanding is that to allow you to access the live images on a mobile, it must be connected to a PC that has internet access. I could be wrong – it might be worth calling into Maplin and asking for a demo/more details.

You can get a webcam that has surveillance software with it for under £20. just plug it into a laptop or 2nd hand desktop and with the aid of a few IR triggered floodlamps all will be revealed.....it worked for me.
Floodlamp comes on and laptop starts recording for however long you set it. During the day any movement switches it on. The video files are saved to the hard drive with date and time overlay. Simple and foolproof. If you need a usb cable over 5 metres you can get a usb booster cable extension which will add another 5 metres for about £10
