I have a new digital weather station which I have never used (it is quite a few years old!) I have set everything up and it all works fine except for the weather forecast symbol display which just keeps changing between sunny, cloudy and partly cloudy (no rain one yet!)constantly! it never remains the same for more than 5 seconds have I done something wrong?
You normally have to 'set' the forecast for your current situation the first time round. So try 'Enter' for a sunny day, if it's actually a sunny day now. 'Enter' for a rainy day if it's actually raining now etc.
There are two types of weather station. The most common type reads atmospheric pressure, looks at the trend and then creates a forecast. The second type receives a forecast as a radio signal and, therefore to be in a suitable place where it can receive the signal. I suspect that yours is one of the latter type since, if no signal is available, the display cycles round all the options. Try moving the station around the house - the signal is normally shown by an icon on the display.
I have tried without success to find any instructions, it was from Maplin but as I said some years ago!
I have experience of weather stations but haven't come across this it only cycles through the 1st 3 symbols it has never shown rain, storm or snow on the display at all.
I will try bhg481 suggestion and see what happens.
By the way I also have a North American Weatherstick which is 10x more accurate than any weather device!!
thanks
