Please remember I am illiterate when it comes to technical bits.
I am trying to find some one who I haven't heard from for over 4 years. So I decided to join face book to look for her.
I gave my details and when it came to the next bit it asked for my email password. I thought this odd as with my password they could access my emails, I put it in anyway making a mental note to change it as soon I could. It said invalid, so what do I have to do to get in? Please, what am I doing wrong.
What they are asking you to do is use your email for Facebook account and use another powered to access it on there site. Just register and set up the account.
Start from scratch perhaps?
It should be simple enough, you will be given the option to choose a new FB specific password. They need your e-mail to send you the joining details.
I dont remember it being too complicated, I am not the most patient with computers myself!
You've actually hit on a good point there. I wonder how many people do use their email passwords when setting up their accounts. I er have a friend who did that and I'm now thiking it was rather silly of me I mean him to do that ...
When you say your password is not working, are you sure you aren't trying to log in before you've registered?
I wonder whether you are entering your details in the 'log in' bit rather than in the sign-up bit. When you sign up you will probably be asked to enter a password and then re-enter it and obviously the two must match up
Or maybe you have joined previously a few years ago for a one-off purpose using the same email address so you'd need to know the password you used then
this is what you should be seeing ( but in sylised blue obviously) if you click the link in my last post. Just fill in all the fields.
