Go not the settings tab and check that all the relevant buttons are correct for what you want. The ipad will only hold emails for a few days. You then have to access them via safari.

Is it going straight into your Junk box?

The not keeping copies problem may be because you have instructed it not to - some people choose not to keep things they've sent (and certainly not stuff they've deleted)

in the Settings Tab - what would a correct button look like .... ?

Previously EMails were kept for ages or till I deleted them !

CANNOT access my EMails via Safari. I have an ISP server to access for them.

Thanks for any further input

JUNK Box is empty, so NO ...

What settings (& where are they) should I re-Visit to check any 'instructions'.

Have you resolved your problem yet?

No, not really.

Love to know (be guided as to your advice) what settings need to be set at what to prevent/Circumvent the Issue.

Many thanks for your continued interest & patience
Do you have a desktop or laptop computer on while you are using your iPad?
Not sure which ISP you use so do you have anything to do with settings there. I use hotmail. On your ipad the Settings icon is on your home screen. Press in the big button and you automatically go to the home screen.
Press Settings and on the left hand side you will see Mail highlight this and a list appears. Under the mail heading are on or off questions make sure these are set to how you want them.
Some of the other questions I do not know what they mean. Let us now what ISP you use and someone else may be able to help.
If the emails are deleting almost immediately it must be something to do with settings on your ipad or setting on your email account.
By googling your problem it looks like it has happened to others. Here are two links that talk about POP servers etc

This one is a question and an explanation which maybe the same as yours.

This one refers to the iPhone but the ipad is the same set up. Scroll down and there is some advise on settings etc.

ALL Downloads fail due to a fault ...!

FYI - I have no idea why, how, when, where either

Yes, I have a desktop ON too, but fail to understand why that could have nay impact.

My EMails come via an EMail Hosting Svce.

EMails are 'pulled' to whichever device is alive with a SEND/RECEIVE. When I am away, they come to iPAD, and when I get Home, they download to Desktop
