On Demand From Sky
2 Answers
Just purchased a wireless box to connect our Sky+ box to On Demand services from Sky which is brilliant. Does anyone know if there are any plans to include UTube as one of the options?

1) Everything else provided on On Demand is basically from a TV channel so there is some control over content. YouTube is a bit of a free for all and does have some unsavoury content that Sky could not control.
2) I believe many of the videos on YouTube use Adobe Flash which is available under Windows but not other platforms (like some tablets). I assume Flash is also not available on the Sky platform so some videos on YouTube could not be shown.

Thanks VHG, that makes good sense and is probably right. With regard to Adobe Flash, I use YouTube quite a lot on my iPad for watching music videos (which would be great on TV rather than on my iPad because that does not play stereo unless you use headphones) although I don't come across much (if any) content that won't play on the iPad these days and I wondered if they had overcome that problem in some way. It used to happen frequently.
