Pir Solar Led Lights

PIR solar led lights -they seems handy in that no wiring is required.Anyone with experience of them ? do they last long or are they a gimmick and inferior to a wired light ?
This one doesn't seem to require rechargeable batteries-so i assume is better than 2nd one ?

The first one must contain re-chargeable batterries. How else can it store electricity? It's just that they're not mentioned in the description. And I doubt that any LED 'floodlight' will have any sort of strong light when compared to a wired one.

If you want much light output, I don't think either is much good. There just aren't enough LEDs.
Lidl has something similar at the moment (it does cost more - but has a 3-year warranty) with a whopping 80 LEDs. You could try it, and if you don't like it - return it for a full refund. That's what I'd do - better than faffing around on eBay.

I have no experience with PIR solar LED lights, but a fair few with non PIR ones. Hardly last a season. I think they are less wonderful than they are marketed as. Granted I've not spend hundreds on one (to be nicked from the garden) but I have avoided the very cheap ones too.

And I'm fairly sure I'd not buy from someone who demands the buyer covers return costs. Fair enough if the reason for a return is a change of mind, but unacceptable if the item is faulty. If I see that it rings alarm bells re the seller refusing to pay for the return of faulty goods and claiming that was what you agreed to.

Thanks ,Don't need huge amount of light as coverage area is small
2nd one seems to have outsold the 1st one by 129 times!
Old Geezer , i have had non pir lights and it is only bulbs that needed replacing (and even then they lasted well)
