Can Ipad Download Youtube Videos?

I have an iPad2 with the YouTube app installed. There are some videos on YouTube I would like to save on the iPad and watch offline later, when I may not have an internet connection.

I have tried several apps that profess to do this without success - they all seem to need Internet access to view the videos. Has anyone found anything that actually works?

That link is over 12 months old and since Google bought YouTube they have made it increasingly difficult to download copyrighted vids.

If that link doesn't work, you'll know why.
