Hello, I'm using Chrome on Windows 7. My taskbar with date/time and icons etc is at the bottom of the screen but when I open chrome it vanishes. I've tried making the screen different sizes and rebooting and it comes back holds for a few seconds then goes again. What have I done and how do I make it stay? Many thanks

You can right click on the Taskbar and select "Lock the Taskbar".

This will leave it there all the time (unless Chrome overrides this setting)
If you move the mouse cursor to the very bottom of the screen does it re-appear? If so then autohide has been turned on and you should right-click on it (while it's on screen) and select properties - autohide is one of the settings.
I have just opened Chrome on Windows 7 and my taskbar stayed where it was.

I have "Lock the Taskbar" set and so it seems Chrome does not over ride this setting.

Hello, thanks for both answers. I've tried both and neither work.
I have clicked the "lock the taskbar" but it's still vanishing, and if I move the mouse to the bottom it doesn't reappear either.
You may have Chrome in Full Screen Mode - Press F11, that will toggle between full screen and normal mode.
