Hi all, I bought a Norton anti-virus disc from a charity shop, and the activation code won't work. Has anyone got a spare one I can have please?
Thanks in advance.

Personally, I would never think of buying an AV programme when Microsoft Security Essentials is excellent and absolutely free of any cost.

Tubby....It's a pity that you have Not answered the question put to you by methyl who may have offered to you some further help. I acknowledge that methyl is a real Techie whereas I am still on a learning curve with a long way to go. Nevertheless, in the light of what has already been presented to you, it is possible that you may need the following :-

As you are not the original owner then then you cant use this product because it only has one licence and has already been activated but it could be one which has multiple licences and you maybe in luck. You could try and run Belarc Advisor which may find your product key. I totally agree with Alston why bother with Norton when there free antivirus programs available like AVAST and Microsoft Security Essentials. You should uninstall it using the Norton Uninstaller from Symantec.
Hi Conne....As indicated by ummmm, it's very unwise to have more than one AV programme. Having more than one will cause conflict and cause all sorts of serious problems. I once heard of someone who had a conflict that resulted in his computer sending out hundreds of identical e/mails to the same person.

Tubbycoates... I would ignore what has been said by Martin22. He is plugging filespeedy everywhere on AB and even replying to threads which terminated,as way back to as far.
