I have tried to set up a distribution list at work, but while the individual email addresses show up under the Contacts section as does the name of the distribution list, I find I cannot email the distribution list.

Does it matter that the email addresses used are not part of my workplace's global address list?

Does an administrator need to grant a user access to set up a distribution list.

Thank you.

It may be because your distribution list is too big, it is not unusual for mass mailings to be limited to 100 addressees during working hours and bigger emails are sent overnight.
