Hi,
A friend wants to use the internet just for emails and so only needs a dial-up
connection.I have looked to find a provider but the ones that I have checked are only able to join by using the internet.Does anybody know of a provider that gives a CD to new dial-up customers, or an easy way round this.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Dial up is more expensive than broadband these days, so it would be a false economy. Very few companies provide it in any case.

If its only emails that your friend needs, then there are alternatives to Broadband. A smart phone for instance.

But a cheap, low usage Broadband package doesn't really cost very much in this day and age, so perhaps your friend needs to have another think about this.
