One Way Thumb Drive

I am learning about one-way function and I remember this thumb drive that you could pull information off of but not save information to without a key. I can't find it anywhere, has anyone else seen or used this thumb before?

all of mine have got a lock facility that makes them read only.

Where do you get those from woofgang? Last time I looked, I couldn't find any.

@kermit: Zalman do hard drive enclosures, some of which include "one way" locks (http://www.zalman.com/global/product/CategorySecond_Pic.php) if you have the need to carry a load of optical discs around with you, some of them also have a very cool "virtual drive" function. If you need something smaller (and cheaper) a Poundland SD card adapter and an SD card would do the trick. (All the full size cards I've seen have write protect locks, but check first)

The SD card trick may not be that secure according to this article: http://www.fencepost.net/2010/03/usb-flash-drives-with-hardware-write-protection/ .

I'm still only turning up encrypted drives on those searches, rather than write-protectable ones. Though a flash of inspiration got me to search for a write-protect adapter. Amazon US have one, but it's aimed at computer forensics bods and is $160! I'll stick to trudging back to my case and getting my Zalman.
