Is It Safe To Use A Different Usb Cable In Another Brand Mains Plug?
6 Answers
It seems that most charging things come with a removable USB, I need to buy a new charger for my boys tablets and just buying the USB cable seems to be half the price of buying cable with mains plug. Is it safe to plug one of these cables into a mains plug of an apple/samsung product?

The Apple mains plug contains some circuitry, presumably to transform down from 230V/13A and also regulate the strength and rate of delivery of the charging current.
Assuming the tablet is not an Apple product, I would buy the correct brand & model of charger to go with it, rather than take the chance.
Beware of market stall fakes too - they're a known fire hazard.

If the tablet can also be charged by plugging the USB cable into a PC to charge it via USB cable then yes any usb cable will be fine.
you may have to be careful though if it cant, even though USB hs some pretty finite specs its possible the original manafacturer has tinkered with things
