Is this the new ipad that everybody has been waiting to come out? I'm not interested in it as such but waiting for it to come because then the one I am interested in will go down in price.
Yes, the Air is the new iPad. I'm in a dilemma myself as I'm getting minis for the kids for Christmas and a new one is coming out, but I've heard there will be a supply problem until early 2014. Hope it's scaremongering.
having now got a mini, I wouldn't go back to a full sized ipad. Th mini fits in a smallish handbag or a big pocket whereas the ipad really need a big bag or dedicated case. The mini is also easier to hold for reading...now if they come out with an ipad air.......
Well I ordered the iPad Air on the 1st day it was out and and it was despatched the same day (Delivery tomorrow?!). I have found that ordering online on the 1st day it's on sale guarantees delivery within the week. I ordered the iPhone 5S on Apple's 1st day and was delivered within a week.
I ordered another iPhone 5S for a relative last week and was told 3 weeks waiting. So anyone waiting for the new iPad Mini should keep checking Apple's website for first day selling.
I've been put off going to the Apple store after seeing people queuing early morning for iPhone 5S's!
I have also been debating whether it will be mini or regular size but has pretty well decided on reg. size as I will be using it for filmon.com quite a bit and after working with my eyes most of the day have been told that the reg. size would please me more.....any comments?
I have a newish iPad and it is a lot lighter than my original one (which the kids use). Can't see how much lighter it can get. I would never think of reading a book on it as it's not book sized (if you see what I mean), although I would use my kindle for that. Boy # 1 has a Nexuus and boy #2 has a kindle fire which they both love. Am considering a kindle fire for girl and thing 2 for Christmas (thing 1 can have the old iPad to herself - she's a bit 'clumsy' for a new tablet of her own).
I Downloaded the Kindle app onto the iPad, read a book on it in bed and kept whacking myself on the head with it when I nodded off! I'll stick with paperbacks, much less painful. :)
I don't think I could get to grips with a different operating system, can't unlock himself's phone (no idea what sort it is). Can't work the Nexus or Kindle Fire either. Love my new iPhone with iOS 7 (haven't put it on the iPad yet as haven't got the patience to delete the apps I am playing to make space for it - lazy I know).
