Windows "killer" Update.any Help????

on thursday it took an hour to upload 3 new windows updates.
long story short, i,ve read a genuine online article that windows have messed up and the upload crashes your computer everytime, only by turning windows updates off will your computer run as normal. anyone else had this happen or any recent solutions offered. thanks.

I had problems yesterday after some windows updates. OK now after it restored my computer back to how it was before the updates. I have windows 7. Had no problems today.

hi quizbag. if you restored yours to before the updates were available are they not still waiting to upload.? i,ve switched mine off since thursday to use my computer as normal.

hi methyl, thanks for your detailed update. i understand where you,re coming from. my only problem is/was when i allow the new windows updates it makes my computer go offline, therefore not allowing the updates to complete.i tried 3 times on thursday and each time i lost my internet connection repeatedly.
i have ie7, and the kb number/s are 2888505 and 2879017. many thanks.
