Printer Problems

hi i have been trying to print a poem i wrote in open office but all thta happens is the printer sounds like its printing but a blank page comes out , just tried to print an invoice that was emailed to me and it printed fine just wont print from any program for letter writing etc , checked ink done a clean nozzle etc reinstalled software still no joy any ideas ? it an epson dx5000

Open Office may be printing the last page first if there are two pages.
Just check that you haven't got two pages open instead of only one.
I.E. you could have a blank page open after the page with your poem on it.

ok checked and no only one page hubby tried to print something on his applemac and it wont print neither so its gotta be the printer surely but then again why did it print my email confusing

Are you feeding the printer with only one sheet of paper or do you put several sheets in for it to use???

Try this simple test

Create a document and have either 4 solid boxes or four words and colour them cyan magenta yellow and black.

Now try printing.

Look at the printout and if you don't get whats on screen it will help you narrow down if you faulty ink.

I'm assuming that what you were trying to print was black text - the invoice may look black but was probably "made up" black from the other 3 colours.
