You can record 2 things while you watch 1.  And you cannot change the recording quality.

Ok thank you very much Kerplunk....

You can also watch something while it is recording. In fact I hardly ever watch anything direct now. I usually start watching programs after they started so that when the ads come on you can fast forward through them. For example on BBC an episode of Star Trek takes 40-45 mins on sky it takes an hour, so set it to record and then start watching, as it's recording but 15 minutes late, by the time you have fast forwarded through 4 ad breaks you've caught up. SKY+ is totally awesome and no I don't work for Sky! Try the "series link" system I just program all the things I want to watch and watch them when I want, forget the schedules you make the schedule for you. It ain't cheap but it's worth it.

Loosehead,  I said you could record 2 things while you watch 1?
Alright, just elaborating! Chill kerplunk Chill we're on the same side here!

Thanks alot you guys,1 more thing for the moment has it got a OTR timer function...........
OTR ?? you can program recording by date and time but that is usually unnecessary if you use the "series link" function. See the manual
There is also a very good facility called "Series link" where it will automatically record all the episodes of you favourite programs.  Goto the information channel
