My packard bell dot s charger is playing up, it doesn´t always want to charge. I cant think why. Recently the 3 lights were taking a while to come on, now theres only 2 lights come on, which means it isn´t charging, and now the battery is totally flat.I did try charging without the battery, with no luck. is it time to buy a new charger?

Yes it should – if you return it to the store from where you purchased it, they should give you a replacement, no questions asked (as part of the guarantee).

If for some reason this cannot be easily done, then a replacement can be had for less than £7 including p&p.

Just make sure that the charger’s output current rating is at least equal to the one you are replacing.
It may be the battery not the charger.
