Replacement Transformer For Christmas Lights
5 Answers
My in-laws bought a fibre-optic Christmas Tree a few years back, but I noticed when putting it away for them this year that the cable has almost come away from the transformer, and I decided to look for a replacement because of course its a sealed unit, inaccessible to me. The break in the cable is too close to the transformer, just where the pair of wires exit the box. The label describes the item as Model PK-BS-12022; input 240v; output 12v-22VA; end of wiring pin - pin 1. I Googled the model number, but didn't get any useful information there. I know the tree came from the (now defunct) Focus DIY, but wonder whether ANY 12v transformer would do please? Failing that, any other thoughts?
