Can You Download Games On Kindle

My Mum is dead set on getting a Kindle as she is partially sighted & believes the font may be made big enough for her to see.
Can anyone confirm the font sizes can be made bigger.

She also enjoys games like Candy Crush, Papa Pear etc, can they be downloaded onto a Kindle?

Kindle fire, some games yeah, but a lot of common Android or Microsoft aren't supported. Probably better off getting something like a Samsung tab 3.

Use the Aa key.
You can only change the font while you're in a book, it won't work when you're on the home page or shopping the kindle store.

The more basic Kindles are exactly what Kindles were originally designed to be, simply devices for reading eBooks. The Kindle Fire models are closer to being normal 'tablets', so you can download some games for them.

Two of my children gave Kindle Fires (think that's what they're called) and they play all sorts of games on them.

I don't know about kindles but my OH who is registered blind uses an ipad. You can set it up to enlarge by tapping the screen or by sliding your thumb and forefinger apart to get the size you want also you can easily invert the screen and text colour. He cannot read books/papers etc so he finds it invaluable for keeping upto date with news etc also there are loads of game apps.
