Does anyone know what file type does NAPSTER and ITUNES ? use, for example tesco.com downloads file types are WMA, and which of the two is the easiest and hassle free to download from, I used to download from dotmusic.com, but they were always a hassle, and kept creating pointless folders for tracks and licenses

they offer their music in aac files, which is perfect if you own an iPod. it is protected however, but you can remove the protection (provided you are not in a country that has laws against this stuff), by using JHymn:

once unprotected, you can use it how you like (as you should be able to do once you've paid for it). This even includes converting to mp3 if your player of choice does not support aac.
