Pc To Tv Connction.
5 Answers
I have a G+mimmo Belkin Router with 4 Ethernet sockets.
I would like to view the Internet and You Tube on the TV
a Sony KDL32S30xx which has 4 PC(HDMIoutput ) sockets.
What do I need to connect the two ? They are in the same room about
5m apart. What are the options ?
If using a cable should it go from the PC itself or from the Router ?
I have a length of Ethernet cable with plugs male male on the ends .
Would that work with an Ethernet to HDMI adapter on the TV end ?
Or would it be better to get an Ethernet to HDMI cable ?
It does say in the TV manual to use a PC cable with ferrites.
Do I need separate audio cables ?
Finally what would be the picture quality ?

It might be labelled "PC".
Don't worry about the router and ethernet - I've never known anyone to plug in their PC to their TV via this method.
If you TV has a VGA (blue) or DVI (white) plug, you may simply need to unplug the cable from the back of your monitor and plug that into your TV.
Picture quality is kind of non question. It's likely your Monitor/PC can produce a signal better than the "HD" of your TV. You may need to scale the resolution of the PC up however.
Let us know how you get on.

I wasn't trying to replace the PC monitor with the TV I just thought at times it would be nice to see pictures and videos on the bigger screen.
So it is not a question of unplugging the monitor and plugging in the TV.
In other words I want the choice of using either the PC or the TV when using the Internet.
