Have a look here:

https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads

(Assuming you have a Google account)

Are the Ad interests correct?

Mine are! And it's a bit worrying....

But more importantly - are you flattered by what Google thinks you like?

Ah, you're one of the lost souls then Emmie. Just a taker, not a giver. Not very generous of you :)
I have four interests....I haven't a clue what one is.....one is wrong.....and one is....plumbing!
Oh dear, they're pretty spot on (except I have no memory of being interested in babycare and hygeine).
They are spot on with age and gender. However, I am not interested in Bollywood or dating! Seems no way to edit what they think your interests are. However, I see that you can opt out of tailored ads.
It wrongly thinks I'm female & mostly interested in news, though it got my age in the correct range. I block ads when using Chrome, so they've got nothing on me!
I have 54 interests apparently.
I'm N/A, speaks volumes.
Mine says Interests unknown.
a giver, i just don't like some knowing my business. its not theirs that's for certain. I disliked the street map thingy, and not in favour of cctv, being monitored or tracked on purchases, why should anyone like it.
I see I'm interested in Citroen and Fiat cars and apartments for the over 55s. I must surf the web in my sleep because I can't remember ever looking for any of them.

Grasscarp - you should be able to click a little "x" next to the subject to remove it.

Or, alternatively, give Bollywood a try?
someone taking over your life then sandy...
my pc is a google-free zone, its sticky fingers soon get cut off if it tries to invade
I wonder why they think I'm mad about Agriculture and Forestry?
Maybe the dog has been surfing - he likes trees.
Gender correct, the rest wrong. Banking as my first interest....totally wrong. So if google are chrging others for my data, others deserve a refund.
I'm the same as emmie, they can MTOB.
