Wallpapers For A Galaxy S4 & S4 Mini, What File Format Can You Use?

My client has asked me create custom wallpapers for the staff at their company with their logo on. The devices are Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini. Obviously I will not be loading the artwork on to the devices, just generating it to the correct format, which is? . . . I have no idea. I presumed it would just be a Jpeg RGB made up to the relevant resolution. Anyone have any ideas, I am also presuming it's a static wallpaper rather than a live one. But they may require layers to be able to move elements of the logo on screen.
Any advice would be ace :-)

I'm crossing my fingers that I can knock it up in Photoshop with PNG layers.

Alternatively, get someone who has those handsets (pretty common) to send you one of the originally installed Samsung wallpapers for the correct/optimum size?
Just to throw another spanner in the works: won't the resolution/dimensions of any wallpaper need to be substantially larger that the screen's actual size/resolution to account for scrolling?

Snags that is an excellent question. Thankfully because the logo will sit on a pure black background, I'm hoping that's something their tech guy can deal with. Think I'm going to just supply a range of.png files, plead ignorance . . . and hope for the best ;-)

Typical... bloody 'creatives' ;-p

:-D we get away with too much.
Indeed (I'm also a freelance graphic designer). Talking a bit of - what is generally known in the industry as 'designer bo**ox' - can often fool a client into thinking we actually know what we are doing...
