Ms Outlook Problems

Can anyone help me please?

I am unable to send or receive emails in MS outlook, I am getting error does 0x800CCC80 relating to sending and 0x80042108 for receiving.

I'm quite sure I've had similar problems in the past which I have managed to resolve but cannot for the life of me remember how I did it. A Google search is driving me batty so any help is appreciated.

I'm on Win 7, my email account is Yahoo and I'm on a Dell Inspiron N5030.

Whilst awaiting an anwser from anyone who can help I've been trying to do a Scanpst.exe to see if that will sort my problems.

The only trouble that is that I cannot find my .pst file, even when doing a wildcard search.

Any suggestions please?

Anyway I've located my .pst file but it claims to be read only; that doesn't sound right to me......

M/S Outlook has or used to have an annoying habit of forgetting the settings. Suggest you delete your account and then re-create it with all the new settings.

Thanks Alice, I'd already tried the steps in your link and ended up even more confused!

I'll have another fiddle this afternoon and if it comes to it will try the delete and recreate route.......sounds extreme though.
