You can't place images directly onto AB. You have to upload tthem elsewhere and then post a link. Try this: Go here: http://tinypic.com/ Click Browse. Navigate to the location on your hard drive of a picture you'd like us to see. Double-click on it. Click Upload Now Complete the security thingy (where you have to type something to prove that you're a real human...

You can't place images directly onto AB. You have to upload tthem elsewhere and then post a link.

Try this:

Go here: http://tinypic.com/
Click Browse.
Navigate to the location on your hard drive of a picture you'd like us to see.
Double-click on it.
Click Upload Now
Complete the security thingy (where you have to type something to prove that you're a real human being)
When your picture appears, click on the last of the four links shown, to highlight it.
Right-click and select Copy.
Come to an AB post, right-click and select Paste.

Question Author
will tinypics show my id, that is if i post pictures on here.
No em
Question Author
thank you, that was the only thing i was concerned over. not sure if i can do that, and i am searching without success for some photo i was sent a few years ago that some might be interested in,
Tinypics has no way of knowing who you are. Unlike most photo-hosting websites, there's no registration process, so you don't need to give either your real name or a username (and your IP address isn't shown either - not that it really matters anyway, as it could only tell us which ISP you use, not who you are).

Excuse me for interrupting, Emmie. I just want to catch Chris, whilst he's around....Chris, I always get scared when I click on something like Tinypics and my documents are then shown in a window. I feel as if the site can then get access to all my stuff. Is that not the case, then? How does my stuff suddenly appear on the screen?
Question Author
its a bit faffing, but it worked, thank you, i was hoping to upload the file, as they show a series of wonderful photo;s of snow circles.
Question Author
can you load a file, where you get not one pic but the file of say 10 pics.
For Tilly2:
Clicking on something in a website like Tinypics simply opens Windows Explorer on your computer, so that you can find what you're looking for. No information is sent to the website until you select a file and click on 'Upload'. It's perfectly safe.

For Emmie:
There are lots of free photo-hosting sites. Tinypic is the most popular one for showing off pictures, simply because there's no registration process to go through. However it is limited to one image at a time whereas other photo-hosting websites allow you to create galleries and then link to the entire gallery.

Photobucket is one possibility:

Question Author
so with photobucket you have to register, is it the same principle, no ID.
i will look at the link and see what it says.
>>>is it the same principle, no ID

No more than you used to register with AB. You just need a username and a password (and possibly a valid email address).
Question Author
thanks for the help, i can't find the photo's i wanted to post, they are stunning and thought maybe others might appreciate them
