Samsung Galaxy S3 Phone

My friend like me has the Galaxy S3 smartphone however yesterday for some reason unknown she lost the weather widget from the home screen, I told her no problem as this has happened to me before and all you do is go into the apps/widgets section of the phone and the weather widget is there, this she did but found that it has also disappeared from there too so is there any way of getting it back or can the genuine Samsung weather widget be downloaded from somewhere?

Must have been uninstalled then. Has she tried visiting the Play.com site (or other app supplier) ? There should be an app/icon for that and a search for weather may locate it.

Looked on play.com and users seem unhappy re the latest update :-(

Thanks for all the info Old Geezer, I will print it out and show it to her but I guess she will end up taking to a Samsung dealer and having it re-installed at a vast cost.

That can work but only if it is still in the apps/widgets section. It sounds like it has been completely uninstalled, which is unexpected.

@O_G.....I feel sure that you are thinking more clearly than I am. You certainly seem to be on the right track. In reality, I know very little about so called 'Smart Phones'. However, from my 'Googling' I have established that you are correct about the App being one from accuweather and can be downloaded from the link which you have given: and also from :-
